Zyxia, if the problem still persists, please contact me via email. (You can find the address below, in my signature.) I should at least have enough power to figure out more details about what the actual problem is :)

(And sorry for the long delay... I don't check these forums very frequently nowadays. But I will respond to mail!)
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Shorah my friends!! :)

I read contents of this thread and WIKI as many as possible.
I play Offline KI for a long time, but may not yet understand.

What is the difference between Offline KI and DI Shard?

I have Drizzle.
However, I do not have a personal KI number because it is off line.
What must I do that I get an exclusive KI number and play in on line?

(My explanation is poor, and I'm sorry)

Thanks,
Toki

Hi Toki :)

The difference between Offline KI and DI Shard is that the latter is online -- that is, there are other people there that you can meet!

To get online, you can follow the Deep Island installation instructions.

Hello diafero!!
Thank you for the reply which teaches me it. :)

Can both have Offline KI and DI Shard?
Or is there the thing which I cannot play in Offline KI by installing DI Shard?

Thanks,
Toki

Having been away on various expeditions for some time and all . . . Is it still necessary to install Uru:CC in order to proceed to the Deep Island shard? I mean is it possible to obtain the necessary files for the client another way? I am not attempting to get something for nothing. There is some confusing regarding CWE. I cannot tell by reading if CWE is necessary or not for accessing the DI shard.

I actually own a URU:Complete Chronicles set but it is buried very deeply in my storage somewhere miles away and is not accessible at this time. Also when I was using that version it was on a different computer so the files are not with me either. So the main question is: Will it be necessary for me to get URU:CC from my storage or buy another copy in order to proceed?

Thank you for the clarification.

Bad news... you'd better start planning your computer archeology expedition. To be more direct... yes, you still need a personal copy of Uru:CC as the basis for Deep Island. There is no other legal way to get those files.

It is different with Moula and Gehn shards since they are based on the publicly released online files originally from UruOnline. Cyan was able to re-acquire the rights to UruOnline and made them available to the public.

Or you can buy it again and download it from Good Old Games for ten bucks.
