Crash when clicking on Myst book

I installed DI on another partition (so it shouldn't be a permissions problem), and converted the Myst V ages.
When I click the Myst book in the new K'veer, it gives me a stack dump:

Code: Select all
Exception type: Access violation
Call stack (14 levels):
 0x76861194
  0x00869D54
   0x00475CF0
    0x00476029
     0x00641570
      0x00640F3C
       0x0064112F
        0x00845139
         0x008486F4
          0x0084D88A
           0x0084E5B6
            0x0062730F
             0x0050688F
              0x004BBB8F
<end>

Any ideas how I could fix that?

Have you think to remove the files "direboWithAlpha.bik" and "mystWithAlpha.bik" from your "avi" directory ? See Troubleshooting in http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/Drizzle# ... vements.22

The troubleshooting information is outdated though - and since Dustin's "wiki" can only be edited by him (kind of opposing the idea of a wiki), I can not even fix it.

The issue is caused by you enabled compatibility mode for Uru, which used to be necessary on Windows 7, but that is no longer the case (Tahgtahv fixed that in the UruExplorer.exe). So, please open the UruExplorer.exe properties and disable compatibility mode, and the issue should go away.

Dustin's wiki seems to be correct:
On Windows 7, Teledahn does not work properly. There are two possible fixes:

* Option 1) Install the newest No-CD patch through UAM.
* Option 2) You can fix that by right-clicking on your "UruExplorer.exe", choosing "Properties", then selecting "Compatibility" and enabling compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3. This however triggers some problems with videos copied from Myst V - so if you converted these ages, you should now remove the files "direboWithAlpha.bik" and "mystWithAlpha.bik" from your "avi" directory.

But perhaps it should mention that Option 1) is the preferred method.

Okay, sorry for that (the "wiki" part still applies, though ;-) )
