Sorry, this is plain wrong. I got a Win7 x64 installation and it's all working fine. Therefore I renamed the thread (all caps is impolite anyway, to say the least).
Now, could you please - calmly - say what you did, and what happened?
Deep Island sues the Path of the Shell game engine, unmodified. It will not fry your PC more or less than the original offline Uru. Some graphics cards (notably Intel) are know to have problems with Uru, but that's nothing a reboot couldn't fix.

Ok Here goes, I was installing uru cc with the di from an external hard drive and i did all the updates made sure i could login and for a few I could walk arund talk to people though i didnt have my ki or my relto, I did a new user.... then uru glitched me the first time back to the starting point in the cleft... then it started freezing up and the sound became slow and wierd.. then my computer froze I had to restart via the reset button and my computers been messed up ever since but I cannot blame you guys for what happened since I took the risk of installing a shard instead of just using MOULa...

EDITION AFTER CALMING DOWN I was just a bit earlier on another forum and I'm just wondering if explorers follow the tutorials given by shards admins or just try to fiddle things on their own...I think that following instructions will get that working. The rant they give on TOC shard forum about TOC shard is unbelievable!!!!
The game is working quite well on Win7 64 bits system.
It happens to work just fine on my system. All you need is a legit copy of URU:CC installed on your PC. Installing the DI patcher will do the remaining.
As to "this install screwed my PC" I'm puzzled... just delete the whole folder containing your DI installs and that's all!!! No fuzz to make of that.
If you want to stick to MOULa because it is "better" for you then stick with it but don't say DI is **** because you are unable to make it runs on your PC.

Please, calm down, Annabelle

sdickens, I am sorry to hear your hadrware is making issues - but I really, really doubt they are caused by Uru, or any piece of software. It sounds more like your screen is broken. There's not much I can do though, since I still don't really know what happened - try re-installing your graphics card driver, or even better, try to find someone who knows computer stuff to have a look at it.

HahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahhahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahhaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA... BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH (air gasp) HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
....
Oh you're serious... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
Seriously though, a fan run shard won't harm your computer. If it did you would be the very first one in the Uru community to ever have this happen to them between 2004 and 2011.

I have windows 7 installed and after re-formatting my laptop, re-installed everything URU CC and DI and have never had a problem. I have been in the URU community since 2004 and have never fried, crashed, or destroyed any of my computers.

Took me 15 months to get on TAC, but that is another story
Bill.
