When I try to pick the last book (right side) on the top shelf it starts to withdraw the book but then locks up the session. Need to use Task Manager to stop URU. I think it is the Myst book. I have the same problem when I click the Myst book in Kveer.

I had this problem sometime ago. I tried to solve it by doing a clean install about the first of March. The clean install did not work. I'm just getting around to reporting it.

Update: I tried to reset the book by clicking the bottom 'zero' button. I called it 'Direbo' and said it could not be reset. I can get to Direbo using lining books in the great shaft.

Please try deleting the files mystWithAlpha.bik and direboWithAlpha.bik from the avi folder of your Uru installation.

The problem is caused by using compatibility mode on Windows 7. Unfortunately, using compatibility mode is necessary for many players since IE 9 was released... So much for the often-praised backwards compatibility of Windows :-/
(Should I mention that this all works fine on Linux with Wine? )

Do you have an instruction for getting DI into Wine? I tried installing URICC into OS X Wine but got major errors. I tried install from CD and copying a clean install into the Wine 'Program Files' folder.

I did the installation on Windows and then just copied the Uru folder to Linux. Then calling "wine UruSetup.exe" works fine, at least with recent wine versions (1.4 or newer).
