I think this has happened before. So, I wanted to take the elevator up to Sharper's office, no power. Checked out front, power was off (I may have done that for noise)

I restart the power and it's intermittent. The shafts turn stop turn, and the elevator won't work on that power. Turn everything off, turn it on again, same problem.

I remembered recent discussion of this bug on the MOULa forums; here is a helpful post from Ainia

A discussion but not a solution. Yes, I tried the invisible sun and remembered fixing it that way in the past....but not this time.

other than by deleting the book and starting again, then no, it seems there's no solution - but others seem to be able to get the lifts to work by timing their button presses correctly.

Ooh, ooh, ooh, you are sooooooo lucky hhhenry!! I have been hoping this phenomenon would occur in my own online Teledahn so I could study it more thoroughly!

So I did a Teledahn survey I haven't been there in months.
Minkata Shard up and running
Ghen Shard down but came up fine
Myst online up and running
Offline [with the fan ages] down and came up intermittent..but with a longer interval between turnings than Deep Island
Deep Island - still broken working at intervals
I suspect there is a good chance if you don't go to Teledahn for a long time, it will power down [the power tower will come down too]
And, if you then power it up, there's a reasonable chance it will come up in intervals.
