Good evening

I have not been in Deep Island for a while and last night when I was in to look at some of the new ages I saw that my Nexus display is ghosted. How do I fix it?

Regards
Philip

Now that is funny. It might have something to do with the widescreen update?

Which OS and graphics card/driver are you using, and what is your screen resolution? Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

This is a known issue introduced by the widescreen patch in the beta exe. The in-world version of the nexus GUI is visible along with the GUI Dialog version, which is adjusted for the aspect ratio. Hence, you see two GUIs. If it bothers you that much, change to a 4:3 resolution.

Bonus chatter: If you look carefully in MOUL, you can see Cyan's fix for the bug is to disable drawing on the in-world version. This is amusingly incorrect... in ultrawide resolutions the notch in the GUI for the present button does not align at all with the actual button.

Hi diafero

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. A NVidia GeForce GT630 graphics card using driver version 391.35. My monitor resolution is 1920x1080. I do not know of anyone else with this issue.

Philip

Please read my post. Your resolution of 1920x1080 is triggering this known bug.

You didn't mention that before... I guess I should have checked the screenshot size. Anyway, 1280x1024 is not a 4:3 resolution either, it's 5:4.

Here are some common 4:3 resolutions:
1024x768
1152x864
1280x960
1400x1050
1440x1080

Be aware that if you run these resolutions in fullscreen, your image will be somewhat distorted. This should not be new to you as your current game resolution of 1280x1024 does not match the aspect ratio of your monitor's resolution of 1920x1080 and also results in a distorted image.

Yuck... :x

Well, to be fair the Uru launcher itself is confusing since it lists both 4:3 and 5:4 resolutions - it really shouldn't do that since only 4:3 is supported on vanilla Uru CC. Until now this wasn't too noticeable though.

Either way, small rendering bugs like this are likely to happen, even the beta patch doesn't display non 4:3 resolutions correctly yet.

(Just for accuracy: this actually depends on either your graphic card or monitor, I believe. Some will stretch the 4:3 image to fit the whole screen, some will keep the correct aspect ratio and display black bars on the sides, which is much better. So playing 4:3 in fullscreen without distortion is definitely viable on some hardware.)

True enough, I guess I'm hearkening back to my old monitor that did not black-bar anything. Although, my new 3840x1600 does, so when fullscreen low resolution content opens... Hello, postage stamp!

Hi Tsar

Please accept my apologies for not mentioning the screen resolution I was using, I did not think it was important. I have changes to 1280x960 and the nexus display is fixed. Thank you for your help.
