- Spiro Show Spoiler
On the 35th expedition of the Fan Ages Touring Club we visited Ahreeuhtav by Race & Cherish, and Spiro by Jman. Then, we went back to Sprite Gallery to see the Halloween decorations. See Minasunda’s video!
Ahreeuhtav, released in March 2010, was originally called Zuflucht (“refuge”); its current name means “protection” in D’ni. It is a lake surrounded by rocks (perhaps an extinct volcano). There is a ruin with a bas relief; a series of walkways connecting small islands, one of which has a neat fountain, leads behind a waterfall (the environment there is not complete, however). Unfortunately there is no sound, except a footstep area on one of the walkways.
Spiro, released in May 2010, is a shell-shaped hill in a gorgeous sunset landscape. The hill is surrounded by a bleck void that is actually supposed to be water. In some way this Age resemble Galamay, and would be quite good with a proper sea and maybe a cave system. Like Ahreeuhtav, Spiro also lacks any sound.
Next, we went back to Sprite Gallery, SereneTiki’s sandbox of sorts, redecorated for Halloween The main imager has been replaced by a hot-air balloon (not usable, just a decoration), and the large trap door is now the launch pad for the Flying Caulderon, which will take you to a tour around (and above) the Age! The mountain next to the stage has a giant, angry-looking skull on the top The mini-projectors on the tables have also been replaced with skulls. A large bonefire is burning close by.
While you walk around, you will notice that … you leave bloody footprints on the floor. The disco has a different light effect too, without the strobe. The Great Tree Excavation is temporarely closed, and Tiki mentioned the possibility of making it its own Age. There are a few objects coming from other Ages: the transparent Tablet and the tree are restored from Chamassa; the Demon Skull comes from Oolbahnneea. The decorative flying cauldron is a Blender demo.
A fun update for the upcoming holiday, be sure to visit next time you log in If time permits, a party might even be scheduled after the Nulp Dance Show in MOULa
A recording of the Twitch stream is available.
