On the 65th expedition of the Fan Ages Touring Club we visited Lonirvan by Jhon J. Jaguar. See Minasunda’s video!


Released in June 2015, Lonirvan is the second chapter in a series called The Secret of the Rainbow, about a group of defectors from the Black Ships’ flagship, the Erimanthus, and its cruel captain Krakon. The series started with Shorah Pahts and continues with Tentsahveet, Somahoglahn, and the upcoming Edereden.

Visitors are linked to the surface of the age, beaten by a perennial sandstorm that limits the view; a path of lights shows the way to a cabin, but one needs to be careful, as the brakhaal beast is roaming the landscape!
A shortcut to the cabin is turning to the left about 20° at the link-in point (just left of the first lamp post) and running straight for about 25 seconds.

Once underground, the real, difficult puzzles begin. It is really recommended to read the journal (in 5 languages) to understand the background and the ‘philosophy’ behind the series. Once you reach the last area and have nowhere to go, you will have all the elements you need to solve the keypad puzzle at the entrance.

There are two ‘savepoints’, unidirectional teleports from the entrance area, that will be enabled when you step on the exit platform. Lonirvan was conceived as an answer to Kadish Tolesa, so it also includes buttons that reset puzzles you just solved. So ponder well before clicking

As far as I know, no complete walkthough is available, besides the attempt in the hidden section below. You can find some clues and solutions (without the method) in the release thread. One caveat is that buttons become unclickable until a full sequence is entered, especially with the piano puzzle. The chess puzzle will also reset even with the right path if more than one person is walking on it.

An excellent age if you are looking for varied and very tough puzzles; you will need to know how to read music, solve a sudoku, decode cyphers, and be good at jumping puzzles. Probably not the best choice if you just want to chill out

Crucial clues in the entrance area are a sudoku and a music score.

To get the code for the second walkway, remember Riven, and close a door (yes, you will be locked out).
Solution: 4 9 3 1 6 7 8 5 2

For the raised bridge, you need to get all the dots green. Note that it may take a few seconds between pressing a button and seeing the result.
Solution: 1 2 5 6

For the pyramid, you first need to solve the sudoku, then relate it to the colours.
Solution: 3 2 9 5 1 4 6 8 7

For the piano, the D’ni numbers refer to the music score, which is missing something.
Solution: G1 E2 E3 B3 G#3 D3 F2 C3 A3

For the chess board, there is a hint in the same room.

For the last room, you will need the completed sudoku/crystal diagram again.
Solution: 5 7 8 3 4 6 1 2

Back to the entrance, you will need to solve a Playfair cipher with a V-to-W mapping.
Solution: 3 2 9 5 6 8 4 7 1 || 2 6 8 5 7 3 4 1 9

Hi! I have been watching the fan age explorations in order to help navigate through some of these ages. Very helpful indeed!
In particular, I have been searching for the way to reach the solution to the

pyramid color crystal puzzle

Even with the solution, I have been unable to understand how that solution is reached. I have read the post Lonirvan:The Challenge, where, it would seem, the explanation is. But when revealing the spoiler there, the link doesn't seem to work. I would love to understand how to work out this puzzle. Can you help me?

It is a sudoku game. Instead of having numbers, you have color crystals. Make sure when you are in that area that your graphic level are set to high quality. I remember going there once with graphics set on low or medium and there were literally 3 shades of yellow, 4 shades of red, etc. The hardest part is to solve the sudoku. The way I solved it is to take a picture in game of the display at the top of the pyramid. Then you use a image software of your liking and you duplicate the crystals and place them where they belong until completion. You can also assigned a number to each color and do the sudoku in a more traditional way.

I see. My confusion stems from the sudoku puzzle at the entrance, which has numbers within green borders. I see now that this should be disregarded. Just start with a clean sheet and enter the colors in and go from there. Thanks so much!

Don't disregard the sudoku sheet in the entrance area too fast... It might be needed further down the path. Lonirvan has one crazy puzzle after the other!

I gave Diafero an updated version of Lonirvan.
I remember that if more than one player entered, the sandstorm could be heard even from the lake of fire. It should now be fine.

That would be my question! I have no idea how to reach that room behind the close door.

Are you telling me that until now no one has come to discover the easter egg ???
If so, then Edereden has been a success, despite its destination as a relaxing environment and hub. Well, try again. At the most I will make myself heard.
However, if you keep an eye on all the data, you can do it. You are very good, difficult to create something that escapes you for too long.
