I'm getting a double vision blur - have for a while now, on the links names of the nexus display. No other text in URU is affected that I know of.

Sounds like the game is rendering the UI twice - once as a proper UI, once in the 3D environment.
No idea what causes this, though...

I had the same problem. Blurred Nexus screen. .. Then I applied the 'Widescreen resolution' from diafero. Now I do not have that problem anymore. The nexus looks perfect again. And I finally play in widescreen.

I can reproduce the bug by setting the resolution at 1280x1024 (windowed).

Ah, I understand now.
The game always renders the UI twice for some reason (once on-screen, once in the world).
Usually the two overlap perfectly so the doubling effect isn't noticeable.
But when the game resolution is anything other than 4:3rd, then the aspect ratio for the UI and the fixed camera view no longer match, which cause the blurriness. Selecting a 4:3rd resolution or applying the widescreen patch make the two interfaces overlap again.

Where do I get the wide screen patch??
OK found the patch. Built the file urustarter.ini set resolution 800x600 problem solved but I'm in 800x600 resolution. I want 1280x1024.
Replaced auto settings but it stayed in 800x600. Tried game setting 1152x864 and double vision solved. Tired game setting 1280x1024 and double vision back.

Is 1280x1024 not a 4:3 ratio setting?
Do you play in Full Screen or Windowed Mode?

1280x1024 isn't 4:3 ratio but 5:4, 1280x960 is 4:3 ratio (it's the one I use).
