Recent Age Updates

Postby ddb174 » Tue Sep 08, 2009 2:22 pm

Here is a page that tries to figure out when an Age was released and lists them all in order of newest to oldest. (Ones that it can't figure out the date on, it puts at the end.)

http://the-ancient-city.de/uru-ages/uam.updates.htm

I hope people find this useful! Perhaps GoMe would like this to keep track of what Ages are new/updated each month?

Edit: I should add: all the 2008Dec3 ones are not actually from that date, but are from an earlier date. I've started listing some of those on the Alcugs wiki: http://alcugs.almlys.org/UAM/Ages/Chronology

Great, thanks!

I've also now added a column that tries to guess whether the Age is new or an update. It's simply based on whether there are any older versions, so it is not perfect. Anyway, this should be handy for GoMe too!

Looks nice :)
Perhaps if it can not parse the date it should just skip the "age" altogether? it does not make much sense to have 10 "Offline KI" entries at the end...
In addition, I would skip ages with a date of 2008 or older because obviously the script does not have correct data, and I would rather show all the information we know is correct than let the user guess what is correct and what not. Having a link at the end pointing to your chronology page would then add the lost information.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

Thanks ddb that is useful indeed!!

I posted also at GoMa.

Now, I wonder where I could put it in the GoMe website. I guess this page isn't in RSS format, right?

EDIT: Added to the GoMe Weblinks Page, "other" category
KI: 40217 | GoMe KI: 2513342
