The encryption keys are determined by the server, so depending on what Dustin used as default keys, those files might not be compatible.
IMO, it would be good for the server to take plaintext files, encrypt them, and keep those temporary encrypted files around as long as it is running; rather than depending on files being pre-encrypted.
Hopefully Talcum won't change the encryption keys every version
