Dustin, yes it's possible. There are various fan ages that already have this. (It all depends on what exactly you want the python to do, and setting the variables correctly)

Tweek: I'm not sure which python files you're talking about, the Myst V or the MOUL.py (both should be decompilable with (Uru Python 3.1)

irk!

My MOUL files are not converting.......again, no sounds. Oh I got footstep sounds, but when I link into like, Delin, there's no ambient sounds. I have all my volume sliders up, numbers of sounds set up high.......

I used Plasmashop and looked at Delin after being converted. Sound emitters that are suppose to be heard upon link in should have autostart enabled, and Plasmashop is showing autostart is not enabled...just like some of the ones (not all though) for the Myst V Ages...

Weird.

I'm thinking of reinstalling everything though, as I still can not link in to Decent nor Toldemer anymore, and after I convert them, when I try I get that good ol' "Game Files Missing Or Corrupt!" error. And no, there should be no conflicts because this is a CLEAN install of Uru that I'm using.
Frustrating because all the other Myst V Ages work just fine.....And so did these two yesterday....

I was referring to the EoA stuff, but thanks I'll tinker with UruPython 3.1

btw andy, ULM seems to be having issues downloading your latest Nexus build.

Descent CTD'd me too, haven't tried Todelmer yet.

The best would be if I could get it to call a function that I can modify for whatever. (Normal stuff like Age linking, Animation playing, etc)

A good hack would be if I could get pyprp to modify some SDL var on entry to the region. I could then detect that in some Python file.

I think alc_QuickScripts has the info I need.

Tweek: Do you mean, because of the changes in Myst5, like OnAvatarSpawn becoming OnPlayerSpawned? If so, then it currently has to be done by hand.

AndyLegate: Try setting the output folder to some other folder, then copy them over to your pots/dat folder.

They should not autostart in Delin. The sound responders are started by Python through xAgeSDLBoolRespond. Sounds are different in summer and winter so they must be based on on the summer/winter SDL.

Nope, still can't link to Decent Like I did yesterday. The only difference is the version of Drizzle. I have not been able to link in to Decent since I converted it with Drizzle4.jar that you posted. I was able to with the previous version (but crashed if my cursor moved over the hole).

I've been getting PM's from others trying it saying the same thing like Tweek here. They too can't link in to Decent. They get a "Game Files Corrupt or Missing" error too. They have been able to link to other Myst V Ages though.

Thanks D'L! That gives me an idea..........

EDIT: I fixed the ULM problem with my Nexus....the mirror was incorrect! It works now...

It's still working for me.

Two questions:

1) Have you tried it with a fresh avatar, and if so, does it still crash?

2) When you convert the Age, do you do it one file at a time, or do you select them all (by either holding down Shift or Ctrl)?

For people getting missing errors. Checksum your files.

I've found that Drizzle will convert the ages correctly, but if I resum once they're done being made, UruFUN registers that something in them changed and updates the whole lot of them.

Give that a try.

I kept getting errors when I was checksumming the EoA files.

I converted the Ages 2 files at a time (seeming I got an error about hash or something the other day when I tried doing them all in one go).

Just checked and Todelmer doesn't work either.
