Just as she says!

Thanks for catching that _District_ problem; I see that it also affects RowanGreen from Crowthistle. I'll have to re-test all the Ages now, to see what changes. It doesn't affect the Moul Ages at all, fortunately.

Just uploaded a new version of my Nexus, it now includes a link to MOUL's K'veer.

you can make it link to the MV version of K'veer if you want by editing the python file

I am very excited to get starting converting the great shaft and Myst island from Myst V. :D :D :D

I just have quite a few questions.

1. Will any of the MystV ages have sequence prefix problems? If so, which ones?
2. Where can I download the latest version of drizzle, and anything else that got updated that made Myst V ages work for Uru?
3. Is there a tutorial on how to convert the Myst V ages for Uru?
4. Which parts of my Uru folder should I back up before doing all this?
5. Anything else I should know before I get started? :)

Thanks all!

Answer to 1) So far, no. The new Drizzle renames the Myst V Ages so they will not over write your original Uru Age files, and it also changes the sequence numbers so there is no conflict. You can keep all off your Uru Ages, MOUL Ages and Myst V Ages. :D

Answer to 2) Look further back on this thread, Dustin provided a link....OR!!!!!!

Answer to 3) Yes, over at the Maintainer Forum, here's a link:

Age Converstion Tutorial

I provide a link to download Drizzle here.

Answer to 4) most likely just your dat folder. However, I'd suggest making a full back up of your entire Uru install just to be on the safe side.

Answer to 5) read through this thread and the one in the link I provided. You might find useful info.

That is from your thread over at the GoMa, andy:
Take a look at Decent. That sound familar, doesn't it? And what about K'veer?
Here is the problem, the names of Decent and Kveer in Myst V are the same as in MOUL. You are going to need to decide, which of which do you want? You can't just rename them, that will not work.

But this is wrong. Drizzle will rename these ages so that all of them can exist in the same installation. Kveer will be called KverMOUL and KveerMystV, Descent will be DescentMystV and the new Myst is MystMystV.

Or is that an outdated version of the tutorial? I did not read through the full thread, it's a bit long ;-)
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.

No, it's called:

"I'm too busy playing with Drizzle and Myst V Ages, and haven't gone back to fix my tutorial..."

Thanks for pointing it out, I'm editing it Right Now...

One more question, I've been seeing a few posts in this topic saying that some sounds do work, and some don't when converting Myst V ages.

Should I still put the all Myst V age's sounds for the age I'm converting into my Uru CC folder, or should I not even bother because they don't work?

I copied over all the ogg files and the wav files from my Myst V folder.

In Myst, I can hear the rain, creepy wind, some spooky sounds, the creak of the ship....I don't hear the ambient music nor the thunder from the lightning. However, that may because they are random sounds, and require a python file mod. Not sure there.

I do hear music in the other Ages and sounds. I'd just copy them over if I were you, because sounds do work, just some here and there are not for me.
