There still seems to be a bug though: Once I opened a file in PageEditor, I can not open another one, it'll just close then opening dialogue and keep the old file. The only way to open a new file is to open a new PageEditor instance.

Even then, the two instances seem to be impacting each other: when you want to open a prp or save a prc, make sure you are in the correct directory.

Alas, more often than not PageEditor still mangles files when saving. I have gotten used to the more reliable command line tools so I will probably keep using those.

Well, I used it today and it worked fine for me. What I noticed though was that each time I saved the prp, it got bigger, even though I didn't add any object but just changed some values...

For now I'll stick to the command-line tools for writing.

Thanks for providing the latest compiled executables, Nadnerb.

Whenever I run any of the tools from the command line, I get the following error message:
The system cannot execute the specified program.

And whenever I double-click the executables, I get this:

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I have the following installed:

- Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0 SP1 and 3.0 SP1
- DirectX SDK (June 2008)
- Microsoft Platform SDK (R2)

What else do I need to run these tools?

You need the Visual Studio 2008 redistributable from Microsoft.
Specifically, msvcp90.dll.

That did it - thanks, Chacal!

Here's the link to the redist, if anyone else needs it.

Hmm, I certainly wouldn't object to a libPlasma forum section -- it might even get me to check the forums more frequently, heh...

As for the Windows builds, I try to keep the version at http://uru.zrax.net/Plasma_Win32.zip up-to-date, but I don't always update it for more minor revisions... That zip will always contain all of the current tools from the libPlasma distro itself though.
