if im right and the shard wars cant be boiled down to friendly competition and comparing notes of what works and what does not. we may never see open source and then everybody suffers

totally agree again, maybe we are too idealist

Overall, as Chacal said, I think all that needs to be said has been said.

Do you think it's time to lock the topic or something? :P

This is not the MOUL forum. We do not lock topics without sufficient evidence (reports).

OK, my mistake, I figured as Chacal said

I thought I'd post a link to Dhel's apology thread, just in case somebody missed it.

Wow that took guts. one less battle in the shard wars

I seem to remember an old saying somewhere that went something like.
What if they had a war and no one came

Wars are best left to the military
The Optimist see's the glass half full, The Pessimist see's the glass half empty.
Its the Realist who see's the glass is half full with air, half full with water

To clarify (and so there's no guilt by association between me and Jamey :P) I don't think Pelishard should be shut down because of this. It would serve no purpose other than to close off some people's fun. Dhelayan's apology is a good gesture. While I stick by what I posted before, and the others he took advantage of will have to speak for themselves, you cannot dispute that his apology is the right step forward.

I think you all have very valid points about not shutting down the Pelishard. I'm beginning to think now that it is not shards themselves that are bad, what makes them bad are the intentions behind them.

(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Hard to argue about that, Jamey.

And you could replace the word "shard" with several others, in real life.
