The Offline KI brings the KI and other changes you are used to from UU and MOUL to your offline game. It allows you to reach the MOUL, Myst V, Crowthistle and fan ages: All of them are integrated into the existing environment. In addition, it lets you to create and play marker missions and run KI commands.

The bugfix release 2.9.1 of my Offline KI is available for download now - just check your UAM. For more information about how to get it and what to do with it, you can visit the website at http://diafero.bplaced.net/ . The changes of this release are as follows:

- Fixed wrong panic-link behaviour when one is still in the Cleft
- Fixed linking to Sphere 4
- Fixed disappearing objects in various ages
- Fixed (again...) the Bahro door in the Cleft
- Fixed invisible blocker and non-working museum door in the city
- Fixed /export and /import commands

If you are an age writer and want to create a cover for your book or a linking picture for your age, please read http://alcugs.almlys.org/Offline-KI/Tec ... umentation for further information.

I hope you enjoy it, please let me know if there are any problems (though it is also always nice to hear things are working properly :) )

I'd also like to thank Nanouk and Darien for their detailed and helpful testing :D

Thanks for the update! :)

I just downloaded it and started a new game but there is still an invisible barrier at the bottom of the Great Stairs.

I can walk down the stairs unhindered but I can't get back up again ...

Also I downloaded Ahra Pahts but the book does not show up on my shelf.
I downloaded Kinnekulle and it appears both in the Geologica book and in a book of its own -- one book is enough, I think.

I am now playing with a full new installation and I am not experiencing that problem.

Going up from Ferry and at the DRC tent level, I can see two barriers on the right side stairs but I was able to walk through the space between them.

At the Kalo's bar level, there were a few crates on the right side of the stairs but I was able to use an empty space pass the crates on the far right side. Both left side stairs were open when going up.

Question:
To access and calibrate your KI at the pedestals in the city, did you use the Bahro stones in the Kirel's Egg room or did you use the flymode ?

If you could upload an image (as an attachment) of the exact spot you are being blocked, it might help us for testing that bug of yours..

Weird, so far I could not find a way to reproduce the invisible barrier with the latest version.

Ahra Pahts has not been updated recently, for which reason you can only reach it from Nexus. Kinnekulle on the other hand is a permanent age in the GEOLOGICA book and got recently updated, so it temporarily has two books until there are enough updates to draw it off the centre area.

The left side stairs going up from the ferry are blocked by an invisible barrier when you have NOT yet calibrated your KI at the Nexus pedestals in the city. Try a new avatar. [Edit: To clarify even further: Not at the Kahlo landing. It's below that, by the DRC tent.]

I linked to the GZ antechamber from Bevin, and when I got back, the invisible barrier was gone. Obviously, since doing so opens up the city in the original game (To D'ni expansion). (I had already visited each of the nexus pedestals in the city. Not sure if that's necessary now, though, or if I can go straight to the antechamber from Bevin and remove the barriers.)

However it is the INVISIBLE barrier that appears BEFORE going to the GZ antechamber that I consider to be a bug.

Aha, I thought that Ahra Pahts had a permanent spot for some reason. Thanks for the explanation.

The duplication of books does not seem very useful, even if it is only temporary.

If you have only some ages downloaded, it is indeed not useful. The purpose is more for people who have basically every age downloaded and installed. By moving Kinnekulle to the left when there is an update (even though there already is a book) I notify people about the update. If I just skipped ages which are already in a permanent book, they are excluded from the update notification.

However that is indeed a point I discussed with some other people, and both points have advantages and disadvantages, so I might change the way these ages are treated later on.

Again, thanks for the explanation, Diafero. I might just get used to it. :)

(Hm, would it be possible to put in some other kind of notification system? That might be fun in itself to keep an eye on. And the books on my shelf would not be shuffled around by some external force. :) )

Regarding that invisible barrier again, it's the LEFT side stairs as I said. I believe that the gap between the barriers on the RIGHT hand side does not appear either until you "open the city" (by visiting the antechamber)? Which again makes me think that one would have to test this with a new avatar.

So far I could not come up with a better notification system - and a better sue of the centre area of the Shelf :D

Which again makes me think that one would have to test this with a new avatar.
I am in the process of doing exactly that :D
And I can already confirm the issue - currently trying to solve it, which will then be included in the next version (of which I don't yet know when I will publish it).

As far as I can tell, the problem is not even caused by the Offline KI but is already present in base TPOTS... anyway, I fixed it :)
