How to buy a copy of Hexisle/Crowthistle/CC(akaPots)/MQO

Quoting myself from another thread:
It may interest you to know that I was in negotiations to become the de-facto exclusive distributor of Hexisle, and if I had liked the price, *I* would have become the party most affected by the salability of Hexisle, and I can assure you, that I would have been better off with Drizzle converting it, as that is the one thing giving it salability at this point. As it is, this fellow will probably have to sell the copies in bulk at much much less than $1/unit, if he can sell them at all. (He has 20,000 units, and games that won't sell are less than worthless, as the opportunity cost of dedicating shelf space is large.) If anyone is interested in buying some number of copies from him (Right now he wants $10/unit for bulk orders, and if you just want a single copy, he can accomodate you. He will ship internationally.), please let me know, and I'll get you in touch with him.

As it says, international orders of Hexisle can be had through him. If you do buy it from him, I recommend doing it with a method such as Paypal. If you have any trouble with him, please report it in this thread (in addition to anything else you may do about it.)

Edit: And you can order Crowthistle several places, including eBay, but here is one you can use: http://www.bookcloseouts.com/default.asp?Ntk1=Default&Ntt1=well+of+tears&Ntx1=matchall&Nsl=0&Ix=0&R=9780765312068B&Rt=19&Nty1=1

Edit: To get Uru:CompleteChronicles (which is the same as if you have ABM and POTS), you can buy it on ebay or a digital download here: http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/uru_complete_chronicles

Edit: To get MagiquestOnline, you can buy it at http://magiquest.com/mqonline/

Happy exploring!

I should clarify: The $10/unit is for bulk orders, perhaps 100+ copies. It sounds like he is asking $15/unit for small/single orders, which is very reasonable. I would personally probably be selling for $25/unit, so he seems to be giving a very good deal here.

Compared to what other games cost, I personally can't agree: 15$ plus international shipping (he didn't yet tell me the prize for that) is more than I'm going to pay. Here in Germany we can buy old games or those which didn't sell well for 10€, and I got all five Myst parts together for 15€.
But I guess everyone has to decide that on his own.

He's selling for less than the original cost. Consider the amount of time it takes to package it up, take it to the post office, and fill out the forms required. It barely pays to go to this effort to begin with, and we're very lucky he has agreed to do so, or nearly everyone outside the USA would be out of luck. That's a bad attitude to take, I should say.

I dunno $15 doesn't sound to bad for me, most new games go for the $30 - $50 region, older games $5 - $10 whilst this game didn't sell much it's still a relatively new game.

I appreciate that he allows non-US explorers to buy that game, I really do. It is absolutely his decision. I just wanted to express that I am not going to pay this prize, a consideration everyone has to make. The game is almost two years old, which is not that old, agreed, but it's fairly unknown and I saw similar recent games on the "Spielepyramide", which is the collection of cheap games I mentioned above.

Whatever, don't buy it then. I don't think anyone needs to hear what you think the cost should be; they can decide whether it is worth it on their own.

I'd be interested in getting a hold of the fellow to purchase two copies of hex isle, one for me, and one for my beloved. =) PM me or email with the details, thanks =)

Yes, it's all ready to go! Drizzle22 supports it, so as soon as I release that (which will be very soon now), it can be made use of!

kaelisebonrai: Okay, I've sent you an email; let me know if it got spam-blocked or something. Happy Hexing!
