Extract an object from a PRP

Postby Sirius » Sat Nov 13, 2010 8:35 am

Hello, I'm still working on PRPs and I would like to extract some objects from a PRP to put it in another one.
I can do it with PageEditor, but it is really long (and hard with the visible objects).

I heard there was a function in the command line of Drizzle that could do it, extract the files as well as the visible part from the drawable spans

Am I right ? How can I do it ?

[EDIT: corrected a confusion between "drawable spans" and "draw interface"]

Drizzle has a sophisticated method for taking a list of objects, and finding all the objects they rely on, including just the parts of the drawn meshes it requires, and separates that all into another prp. But this isn't available from the command-line right now. Would you like me to make a simplified version available from the command-line in a future version?

Well... YES !

I'm tired of always typing "prcc prpobj593.prc" in my dos window when I can't use .uof... But if it could extract it from the Drawable spans... it would be simply marvellous.

I would be glad if you could find the way to do it ! Better for a LOT of things.

Okay, I added it to the to-do list. Should be in Drizzle30 then!
