You have to open steam library, click right on Uru CC, select save the files and you will have the files on your PC, BUT you will have to find how to open the files who are SIM or SID extensions ( but steam's version :P )....Good luck ! 8-)

I found it in the directory C://Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/uru cc
If you have 64-bit windows it is "program Files(x86)".
The good thing is that you only have to point Drizzle there once.
Code: Select all
long longestTimeWithoutPlayingMoula = (new Date()) - (new Date(2014, 9, 26));

Two more questions:

Can he use save as multiple times?
Does he need to use the No-CD patch before loading the Deep Island patcher?

You don't need to do the "save as" thing Tangara mentioned ;) To get to the Deep Island shard is really easy
1. Copy the contents of the Uru cc folder that you find in Steamapps/common (see file path a few posts above this one) to a new folder in a place where you can easily find it. This is your clean Uru installation (if you did not install any fan ages that is. Not sure whether it will give huge problems if you did)
2. get the DI patcher and follow the instructions here
3. play!

the no-cd patch is not necessary, it is included in the DI-patcher. And you already have an uru-installation without any cd's so...
Code: Select all
long longestTimeWithoutPlayingMoula = (new Date()) - (new Date(2014, 9, 26));

Dustin mentions that you have to use it to remove Steam's DRM using the patch. (http://dusty.homeunix.net/wiki/Drizzle#Uru_from_Steam)
So, now he can set up his two URU installs!
EDIT: Oops! It says right in Drizzle "The No-CD patch is for offline play not shards!" :oops: :oops: :oops:

that was because you said the no-cd patch was needed to get rid of the Steam DRM but I never used it ;) I hope your friend's troubles are now solved!

p.s and I'll make the quote tags that I broke in that post
Code: Select all
long longestTimeWithoutPlayingMoula = (new Date()) - (new Date(2014, 9, 26));
