When you make a virtual machine for Ubuntu VirtualBox will give an "advice" in how much RAM you need. This is usually the minimum for Ubuntu. Dirtsand doesn't cost a lot of RAM at all afaik, especially not when used for development and only one or two people connect to it at a time.
In the Ubuntu spec(
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements/) they say 512 mb so that would be a good starting point depending on how much you can miss. You can change the amount later if it doesn't work out.
- Code: Select all
long longestTimeWithoutPlayingMoula = (new Date()) - (new Date(2014, 9, 26));
