Currently CWE does not support/work on Linux systems, so a Linux script would be way down in the priority list. Running it with wine - uh... yeah... Besides, I think it's quite hard to write a script that works on every distribution.

But the main issue: Why should one install a database server and game server just to play a game that isn't working natively on your OS?
I'm sorry but in my opinion it IS an odd idea.

The only case you would need a singeplayer MOUL is if you have no internet connection and I'm quite sure (drizzled) TPotS is sufficient for that case.
