My first steps into that shard

Postby Annabelle » Sat Feb 04, 2012 11:47 pm

Hello,

with all the threads talking of bugs, login issues, vault wipe...there's nothing inviting at first view.

What about the marvels you can discover in that shard?

Here's some pictures taken before and after the wipe all inside the only fan age we can link to as of February 5th, 2012: "Vothol Gallery"

I'm not behaving like that when I visit a museum in real life :)

Awesome paintings pictures taken after the wipe:

Those ages contributed to the 'D'ni Location Contest' two years ago have all been absolutely awesome
as of ambience, esthetics and sheer beauty ...

Besides the here implemented winning entry of the 'Vothol Gallery' by Rusty there were 'Sholek's Temple'
by Whilyam, the awesome 'Fehnir's House' by our very own Tweek and 'Tsoidahl Prad' by Justin and the
'AgeMapsGallery' by Egon which were all very impressive and d'ni-ish and even created within a very short
period of time ... Maybe they can be implemented in the near future as well ...

Just have been looking for a forums thread with all illustrated in one place but couldn't find any atm ...
This was the main thread back then ...

Ok, off to the 'Vothol Gallery' ... :P

Something that puzzled me is why we never had had the chance to see this version of "Vothol Gallery" before?

I went on Deep Island Shard (...sunday night I think) to confirm my thoughts that I had never seen those amazing paintings of ladies. I was right. On that shard, as well as on UAM shard (by extend on the age found on UAM), we see spheres. And the crooked light from where I took one of my picture is perfect on that other version of "Vothol Gallery".

So I wonder how come the light got crooked in between versions. If you have access to both versions of "Vothol Gallery", I strongly suggest that you go in both to see what I mean.

Annabelle, I suppose this Vothol version is a special gift by Rusty for the new Gehn Shard ... 8-)

(I wonder what tags one has to use, not spoiler, that cover the picture only partially and
open the full picture with a click ... )

I've just visited my Drizzle version (don't have the DI Shard installed) to take some shots
for comparison ... and yes there are full and empty spheres as well as empty frames and
no pictures at all ... Please look at those ... :P

I notice that you used photobucket for your pictures. Photobucket is configured to automatically allow this little HTML trick

Code: Select all

thus using your own pictures I will get this:

Dual MSI GeForce GTX 1080
64GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 Predator Memory
Dual Samsung 1TB SSD Pro - Dual Seagate 4TB SSHD

I assumed this Vothol is simply a more recent version.
