OK I seem to be having a problem with Minkata. I have completed Kiva's 1,2,3 and 5 with no problems at all. Both the day and night cycles worked perfectly. and in the Night Cycle the Guide showed up to bring me to home base.

BUT Kiva 4 is a different story. I have no problem in locating Kiva 4 (I have done so on this Shard 5 times). On my third try I finally found the boots. But in the Night Cycle the Guide NEVER shows up to bring me to home base. And like I have said I have tried 5 times.

Is anyone else having problems with Kiva 4 ????

Didn't have any problems with Minkata at all, maybe this is happening since the
latest update when some things got a bit peculiar or odd ... As of myself, I will
now wait for the new Gehn 3 version and then test some of the ages again ...

I had trouble with this one too during pre-release testing... After at least half a dozen attempts, I found that the guide was indeed there, but it seemed to be quite a bit further away from actual kiva than it should be (at least from what my memory told me). The boots appeared without trouble the first time i switched from day to night, but i couldn't find Dusty until i stumbled across him by accident while hunting for the kiva guide at night.

For others who are having trouble with this, i can only recommend that you be very diligent with you heading when you leave the kiva to seek out the guide, and allow yourself a longer run to find it than you would normally. If you don't find it after a few minutes, retrace your steps and try again, altering the heading slightly... That's how it eventually worked for me! I'll have to go on once more and determine which star in the actual constellation is the best to aim for, instead of just aiming for the constellation in general... If the guide is indeed further away than normal, then even a single degree of deviation from the ideal heading can prove unhelpful.

I had great difficulty finding Kiva 4 also. In fact, I would go so far as to say that maybe, sometimes, possibly, weirdly, seems-impossible but true, that it is not always there at all. Maybe just the travel calculations aren't working correctly.

Also, when I finished the five Kivas and walked through the portal, I was deposited in my Relto. -no floating rock. I tried to go back into the dessert and finish the last hole again to test if I could properly finish, but I cannot find the hole at all! (I stubbornly tried and tried that for over an hour before I decided that something was amiss.)

I am worried that I must re-set and go again. After all that work, the thought of starting over is daunting, especially if something is broken. I'll wait a while and see what others have to say.

It is really interesting how so many have problems with kiva 4 lol ...

I always make sure that I can see the sun precisely in the upper
left corner of the screen in a way that I can barely see it ... Enjoy ...

The following 4 pictures show the 4 key landmarks I use to reach Kiva 4. As you can see I have drawn a red line showing the correct headings that I use.



In Picture 3 you can just barely see the bone from picture 4, this establishes the exact heading that you must be on to reach Kiva 4...

Since the library is blocked off, how did you get to Minkata?

The library was working for the first weekend of the shard. It's also working again now.

The first thing that I did after getting my KI was to get all of the available linking books. I did this during the URUGehn 1.1 - External Release...

Some of the changes in Gehn.3 may affect this. Please give it another go when you can and report back.
