Strangely enough I got through the password screen once but then UruExplorer.exe crashed with the general Windows error "UruExplorer has stopped working".

System: Windows 7 64bit, ATI Radeon HD 4800, Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.

I was able to log in last night immediately after the update, but now I'm unable to as well. I'm not quite sure if this is a client bug or a server bug just yet. I'll try to track it down ASAP, either way.

I remember there was an issue with logins that contained an apostrophy in the user name although mine seems to be working I remember it took some manual intervention to fix I am wondering if D'Lanors problem is a re-ourrence of somthing like that?

It worksforme...

The only suggestion I can come up with is re-entering your password if you have "Remember Password" set. This will force Uru to recompute the hash on your password.

Nope, haven't set it to remember the password. Are there any password characters that could cause problems?

No, the client hashes whatever you give it.

My password is also purely alphanumeric, so it's some sort of other issue somewhere.

I was logged in last night just fine. I quit before Branan began running the Gehn.4 updates. This morning it failed to log me in, citing a missing personal district file. When I removed "remember password" and entered it manually, I get the
"Authentication Failed. Please try again.

Incorrect Password.

Make sure CAPS LOCK is not on."

It looks like somebody (I'm not naming names) broke the password handling in the client. Those of you who had saved passwords had no issues, but those of you logging in manually each time would not be able to log in. I have fixed it server-side for now, which means everybody with a saved password will now have to re-type their password, but once that little inconvenience is out of the way everyone can now log in.
