Shorah Hoikas,

Sorry, no crash.dmp in the Log directory, though there are a number of other log files there. Let me know if any of them might be helpful.

I appreciate any help you can provide here! I'm kinda bummed that I won't be able to attend the GoMe Pub party this weekend... :(

I’m afraid I have nothing more than “works for me” either, and “MacOSes ≥10.7 love to break compatibility” :(

I’m using the same old wrapper I’ve used for previous versions (WS9Wine 1.5.21 / Wineskin 2.5.8). I’ve installed the DLLs manually like Christian Walther, but I’ve put them in the Gehn folder itself.

Curiously enough, winecfg is still set for XP compatibility.

Shorah everyone,

After this morning's reboot, I find I can get into the updated Gehn just fine. I have no idea why (as I hadn't changed anything recently in my Wineskin settings). Something magic about a reboot with Mavericks, I suppose.

Anyhow, I'm very excited to be in the new pub ATM (though napping while awaiting today's party)! :D

Late to the party (as usual) on this one but yes, I had to manually download and install the missing msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll that the installer just doesn't install but glad to report that I'm up and running again on Mavericks 19.9.3. running Wineskin 2.6.0. and engine 1.7.18.

My friend and I both have MOULa installed with the Cider wrapper, and we followed the steps at the beginning of this thread (though I think I may have messed up with where I downloaded the files to, as my Gehn Shard folder is not in the Uru Live folder, but the Gehn Shard wrapper is). We also manually copied the .dlls into the system 32 folder.

We were both able to launch the login screen and log in, but after it downloads updates and says "Loading Global," it goes to a screen that just has the logo in the middle and no words at the bottom and then crashes. No error message, no stack dump, or anything.

Has anyone had similar issues? The problems other people seem to be encountering all have error messages.

When you say "crashes" ... what exactly do you mean?
Does the app close? ... or do you appear to be "stuck" on the GoW logo screen?
If that logo is animated (it kind of glows) then it's downloading the files which can take up to an hour depending on your connection speed...

The app just closes with no warning or error messages, etc. (iPen's friend)

This installation method no longer appears to work, on 10.9.4 at least. The installer does not prompt me for a current MOULa installation, and does not appear to download any other files, either. Any way to manually add data files in, or something like that?

Or alternatively, anybody have a link to an old installer that still works? Any help much appreciated.

General questions, just to be sure...

1. Are you using Wineskin? Cider won’t work with Gehn (or TOC).

2. Are you using the WS9Wine 1.7.18 engine? With the latest update, 1.5.x might not work anymore.

3. Do you have msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll either in the MOULa folder or in the windows/system32 folder inside the wrapper? It’s better to have them there even before using the installer.

Using Wineskin, the latest engine (1.7.24) and latest wrapper (2.6.0). Does it have to be 1.7.18 specifically?

I apparently did not have the .dll files present when I first tried the install, I have added them to windows/system32 and tried the installer again, no dice. It still does not prompt me for a second location (MOULa install) or download anything.

The Gehn Shard folder only has the following in it:
    repair.ini
    server.ini
    Uninstall.exe
    UruLauncher.exe
    vcredist_x86.exe
