And - to my surprise - the cloud of fireflies is there(!) - which I have added to my relto some days ago (with Gehn.5 LIve!), and which apparently has failed. So I assumed until now.

Do the "Reticulated splines" are something I should know about? Because I don't know what's that.

Do the "Reticulated splines" are something I should know about? Because I don't know what's that.

"Reticulating Splines"? are a programmer's (programing) joke. Reticulate is a verb and transitive (meaning "to divide, mark, or construct so as to form a network") and an intransitive ( meaning " to become reticulated"). A spline is a curved element used in computer graphics.

Reticulating Splines -- "SimCity 2000 was the first Sim game to feature the semi-nonsensical phrase "Reticulating Splines", which means to make a network of splines. Will Wright has stated in an interview that the game does not actually reticulate splines when generating terrain, and he just inserted the phrase because it "sounded cool"."
