Bug Report: Rainy fireflies in Gira

Postby Carl Palmner » Sat Mar 17, 2012 5:21 pm

Just noticed a bug while playing through Gira/Kemo:

When it rains in Kemo, the cloud of fireflies does not go away--it continues to fly around the plants, and functions as if it is not raining; that is to say, one can walk up to the cloud and pick up fireflies and walk around with them even though it is raining.

I was beginning to think my rainclouds were broken in Kemo but eventually it started to pour buckets. The fireflies around me flew away as well as the ones in the trees. However, when I checked back just now my fireflies were back. Maybe the swarm just flew over me when I was not looking.

Waiting for another storm and not standing where the swarm is.... nope. The flies went away and stayed away after the rain. Gira has a bad tendency to lose fish traps but I never had trouble with the fireflies.

Same thing happened with both of my Avatars (#12181 and #28272). As soon as the rain started those bugs flew straight up. When the rain quit they reappeared within the same area...

EDIT: I am unable to duplicate the original bug report. PS My Avatars did not have any bugs flying about them...

Weird. Guess it was just a one-time thing.

As acorn and johnsoic reported, I never had any problems with the fireflies. The fireflies can't stand the rain, as far as I can see.
... and so I close realising that perhaps ... the ending ... has not yet been written.

In retrospect, they may have just stuck around to stare at me. I am incredibly good-looking, if you haven't already heard.
