Bug? "Unable to create file..."

Postby Dadguy » Mon Aug 13, 2012 1:27 pm

I can't run the Build 10. When I start the launcher it seems to be initializing and then updating the patcher, but then gives:

"Unable to create file. Hard drive may be full" (this is not the case of course).

Cheers,

Dadguy

EDIT: EDIT: My apologies - I should have remembered that you must run the launcher as administrator to avoid this. Problem solved!

I was going to say that I ran into the same problem. The thing I hate about this is that I have to give it permission to run each time. Is there a way around this?

Floydman, I believe you can right-click on the shortcut, then choose "Compatibility", then look near the bottom for Priviledge and checkmark the "Run as Administrator".

Run Gehn in Admin Mode during any updates. I can't write to the app folder in the Program Files folder as a regular user.

The other option is to install Gehn in a folder you have full rights to.

Update: Looks like Dadguy beat me to it.

Install to somewhere other than Program Files. It's inadvisable to run programs as administrator at all times.
