MSVCP100.DLL missing

I just installed the Gehn Shard for the first time. It finished normally, the Run Gehn Sahrd was checked and I finished the installer. The shard did not open. I then tried to launch the shard from the Programs menu, but received an error from the UruLauncher stating "...MSVCP100.DLL missing is missing from my computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I reinstalled teh shard, but received the same error. How can I fix this.

Thanks,
Richrrd

The installer should have taken care of that for you, but, if it did not, you should download and install the Visual C++ 2010 runtime.

Shorah Hoikas,

Interesting that I got a C++ error during a few of the many times (I lost count!! :) ) Gehn crashed on me today. I will try downloading/installing from your link and hope that helps at future parties.

BTW, Gehn seemed to become more and more contrary as the evening wore on (I stayed long after the party broke up, exploring Teledahn with a friend). It got to the point where the two of us couldn't be in the same age without one or both of us crashing. I half wonder if Gehn took a dislike to me since I made a disparaging remark about its namesake during a conversation! ;)

On a related note, I'll post elsewhere about my thoughts regarding a wishlist for the next Gehn build.

Great party!! :D

Shorah again,

Just an update on the C++ install. Since I'm running Gehn from a Mac, I had to update my wineskin. The downloaded installer from Microsoft (the link in Hoikas's post above) didn't work--errored out pretty quickly (ahh, such is Wine ;) ). When I used winetricks to install vcrun2010, it said I already had it installed.

Oh well... we'll see how I fare next time.
