Through the Looking Glass on Gehn

Shorah everyone,

It's been one of those interesting days in D'ni-land. I get the feeling something is afoot; I am finding all sorts of things strangely... different.

  • The Delin door has been jammed open.
  • Tolesa was left wide open though none of the Journey cloths had been touched.
  • The butterflies have gone missing from the Tolesa future vault.
  • There is a dead Bahro in the Watcher's Pub; was he an unfortunate witness to something there??
  • It appears someone has broken into the upstairs pub vault and stolen the ball.
  • And that same person appears to be in the process of repairing the upstairs walkway and trying to get the Great Tree doorway opened.

Has Kadish finally returned to get his "stuff"? :o Is he pissed that flocks of Ahrotahntee have been crawling all over his Ages and secrets? Somebody had better check the fourth Ahnonay sphere and control room quick!! And send up a Yeesha flare while you're at it! :!:

I cannot answer for your other items in the list.

Those 3 items I kept in the quote are fiddlings that can be done easily in The Watcher's Pub.

The dead Bahro is only a sceneobject that exists except it's hidden from the view on MOULa. It's an easy task to make it visible, a python script line that's all!

The ball is apparently absent from the MOUL version of The Watcher's Pub. It hasn't been stolen at all ;) .

One of the admins in charge of Gehn shard did a "half job" in the The Watcher's Pub... They "opened" the upper back door on the 2nd level of the pub by hiding & disabling the sceneobjects (2 BTW one is visual, one is physical). They didn't do the same for the big round opening leading to the Great Tree section. Maybe because we would have to walk on "thin air" to reach the staircase leading to the Great Tree since the retractable bridge doesn't seem to work (...in fact to simply exist ;)... ) on MOUL version of the pub.

I can walk over without the walkway for some reason ?

Butterflies: they are also missing from MOUL. It's a PotS-only feature.

I did a bit of exploring. AcornGehn16's default hood (#21) has its Delin door open but the other avvies I tried didn't have open Delin doors linking from their hoods; and nor did a new hood at the foot of the nexus list (I forget the number - in the 30s I think).

Which hood did you visit, Ainia?

I just had a look into two Delins, GoW 2 and 21, and can confirm the doors being open ... The butterflies are not in the alternate Kadish Vault as Sirius mentioned, right, there's only the Relto page ... Annabelle told you everything about the Bahro in the pub and the way to The Great Tree, and I can confirm what Charura said, yes, you can walk over there without that walkway though you cannot pass through yet ... :P

When I think about it now, esp. as I've tested the same 21 as you, Acorn, and then the 2nd, and if those along with the one Ainia's referring to are not very many, I suppose those are the ones we've been using on the latest test run where they've remained open afterwards as well, means Adam just forgot to send the technical maintainer and cleaner crew after the event ... :)

I'm trying to remember which ones we used for the test runs - if I ever knew. I'd be surprised if you've randomly chosen the correct two, janaba. So there may be more to it than that.
