From Victor Haxman

Postby Tsar Hoikas » Wed Dec 02, 2015 6:51 pm

Hey all. I had a discussion today with Victor Haxman who maintains the KI Lattice. He said that with the recent system upgrade we pushed down, it looks like he should be able to get the Great Zero and KI GPS up and running again. The catch is, according to him, the GZ is no longer calibrated, so we need more KIs to register the various CGZMs that dot the cavern. He estimates that we are currently 5% of the way toward our goal.

Happy hunting ;)

I must be a goofballl cause I have no idea what this is... Am I supposed to waste my time dropping pellets again? Or is there a deeper meaning? Is there something on the horizon I've not seen? HMMM

Charura, I'm so glad you posted, because I was sitting there not understanding what I was meant to do either! My guess was doing Great Zero missions. But I can't do them with my new avvie as she has somehow lost the ability to complete the initial gz calibration. She still triggers the markers but can't collect them.

You are correct. The Great Zero needs calibrating once again so that it can be fully enabled. The more people run those calibration missions, the sooner it can be active.

All of which is a moot point for me as I am on a Mac... :-(

Sure hope someone will post once the Wine folks figure out the missing assets we need.

Dr Haxman sent me a KI mail today stating that we are 13% calibrated.

Victor Haxman is a sneaky one. He mysteriously added 6 more yellow markers to the neverending GZ Calibrating Missions!

On MOULa, Mission #5 & #10 stand at 25 markers each. On Gehn, we are granted 3 more by each quest (28 markers each). In Mission #10, there's a panic link one in the bonus markers.

Dr Haxman has assured me that all his changes to the Great Zero and KI marker infrastructure have been to streamline the calibration process and improve the results ;)
