Having same problem on Minkata. I was able to log in Ghen a few hours a go, no problem. No problem on any other shards

No No. I'm reporting a problem on Ghen shard. I cannot log in on Ghen shard - authentication failed.
The same problem has been reported at the same time in Minkata shard by several users.. I can't log in there either. I report that to help with diagnosis.

Thanks for clarifying - I took it from your first post that Gehn was working fine for you.

I just logged into Gehn without any problem, but I agree that Minkata authentication seems to be broken - I guess everyone there is on their holidays, because no-one has yet responded to posts on the open.uru forum about this issue.

I'll check the Gehn server log when I get "home"** to see if there's anything odd going on on our end.

** I am currently moving, and my stuff is split between two houses, one of which has no internet connection at all. Please pardon my progress ;)

You have my sympathy. "One move equals three fires." Robert Townsend in "Up the Organization" referring to corporate moves. I think the same thing applies to home moves.

I checked the server logs a long time ago, but I just haven't had time to read/write on forums until now. What I've noticed about your login attempts are that the password hash that you're sending us is totally blank. That should *never* happen, even if you had a legit blank password. This smells of something tampering with the connection. I feel like I've seen this issue before. Do you perhaps have any kind of firewall or antivirus running, aside from the ones that come with Windows? If so, I would suggest temporarily turning them off, then trying to log into Gehn and Minkata.

Just Norton. I just tried just now after turning off Norton and same error - go take a look.

Then I'm not even showing up in the logs 'cause I've been 'attempting'
