Windows 10 noob trying to install Gehn shard

Just got a PC laptop to supplement my Mac desktop, and am returning to MOULa since I'd had no joy trying to get it to run on my Macs. I'm currently hung up in the Gehn Shard setup on "Execute: D:\Gehn Shard\UruLauncher.exe /ServerIni=repair.ini /Repair /PatchOnly" giving no indication of anything actually running or if progress is being made. Any notion what's going on here? Thanks...

Same problem here. The installer has painstakingly downloaded all the Cyan files, despite me having a working MOUL shard installation. Examining the process in Task Manager shows that it is waiting for Urulauncher.exe, however that process isn't running.
I had the same issue installing TOC and eventually killed the installer, ran the TOC Urulauncher and then filled in the gaps by copying necessary files from the MOUL installation.

Update: What I did next was to kill the Urulauncher process that the Gehn Installer was waiting for. That let the Installer finish, and it then ran the launcher and finished downloading all the rest of the necessary files.
I wonder if it's a permissions thing, with installing stuff in the Win 10 Programs directories...

It is possible that Windows is popping up a UAC dialog that you need to confirm or deny before UruLauncher.exe is allowed to proceed. Microsoft added the "helpful" feature of causing UAC dialogs to open in the background in some situations. So, you may have a hidden UAC dialog waiting for you in the taskbar...

Of course, all this chaos is going away in Gehn 27 when we will begin hosting the complete data set for download. This should happen sometime within the next two weeks.

Thanks for the fast reply. I was looking for something new on the task bar, but didn't find anything - mind you I wasn't looking for a UAC dialog so could possibly have missed it. Not sure how I can test that out now - all I've got left to install is Deep Island.

Glad you were able to get it working, sorry about the extra trouble. Welcome to Gehn!

We hope you enjoy, and check back soon for a really great update!

Thank you. Yes, I'm looking forward to that. It's not my first visit to Gehn shard, but I have finally retired the ancient Windows 7 computer (MS support finished, and I wasn't going to do Internet banking on an increasingly vulnerable machine) and updated to a rather swish new Windows 10 machine (Asus FX705DT). It's remarkably fast, with an excellent display. So I wanted to do clean installs of all the important programs that I have used before. Getting close to finishing now. Deep Island installed without a hitch, using the 25th Anniversary copy of Uru CC.
