New Homepage! IRC chat! Oh my!

Postby Kato » Sat Jul 26, 2008 4:48 pm

Go to https://guildofwriters.org/ (or just click the text up there) to check out our new homepage!

We'd also like to announce our IRC chat. Join us on irc.guildofwriters.org, channel #writers. We hope to see you there! :)

Nice!
I'm glad Andy's day-time Zephyr Cove got on the home page. I liked it a lot.

I did notice the new friendly welcome page, good work! :)

...and an actual IRC server of our own, rather than simply a public network, oh my-my. *going there to see what Kato named his big-chief-commander bot..* :7

Yes, your topic delayed the new page by two months because it made me sufficiently ill enough to stop working.

It may not look like it, but Hoikas is actually joking here.
(I hope :D)

That new page looks wonderfull except that..

We're Sorry...
But it appears you're using "Internet Explorer" (Less than 7), a browser that is not supported by the Guild of Writers
I can't see it. :|
And the really funny part is I'm *not* even using IE... I'm using Maxthon; why it is detected as IE by the server, I have no idea

Not to be rude, but what amazingly complicated piece of technology is being used on the new homepage that can't run on IE6? Because the marketshare for IE6 is what, 30%?

Maxthon was called "MyIE2" before so I guess it uses the IE rendering engine, so of course it has all the flaws etc. IE has as well. If you're using XP, does upgrading to IE7 help? IMHO that should update the ActiveX plugin other apps can use as well.
I prefer e-mails to "diafero arcor de" (after adding the at and the dot) over PMs.
