I'm not sure what would cause this. I'll see if I can reproduce it on my end.

I've confirmed that in Max 2011, texture information is not saved with the Plasma Layer. Can anybody test for Max 2010 and/or 2012?
EDIT: It's worse than that. It looks like nothing you set on a layer is saved at all.
