Also this means there's more scalability.

'cause not everyone is going to have 4gigs of ram (most likely you'd need this with the non-paging system and filled shells). ;)

In that case you did not have a problem to begin with. A load time of 20 seconds is already pretty decent for a large age. This optimized version will mostly benefit those who had to wait several minutes for Pahts to load or could not load it at all.


That may have something to do with my 2Gb of 800MHz of RAM.

Its still not enough as I was doing something with Blender the other night, and it far exceeded that and crashed
I wasn't doing any rendering just in case you were wondering

Are you using Blender 2.46? I have similar Blender problems after I switched to the new version. Maybe the Blender devs should consider paging... :lol:

Hmm, maybe you should split your age up into separate blends--and prps(for Cyan each max file is a prp). ;)

I don't know if you saw Prad but the size of the age is hardly the problem there. :lol:
