Hi folks,
I was attempting to check out Pahts, version 08F, and ran into crazy graphics problems.
The screen was going nuts, flashing between solid colors, bare polygons, glimpses of textures in the right place,
but quite unpleasant..
(shall I uploaded Ki pictures?)
I'm not an official maintainer, but I do know you're in development, and to expect some issues.
But before this, I've been all over an earlier version of Ahra Pahts, from about April 08,
and I never experienced anything like this. It was completely unplayable.
I was so looking forward to touring - I see so many new populated shells!
now.. it might not be just AP..
Several things happened at once..
- I tried importing my Uru Prime SAVs and stuff from another PC, a laptop with a different type of display..
onto this one, which is where I had ULM and user ages set up.
- Tried installing new AP.
and actually the first age where I ran into issues,(tried just before trying this Ahra Pahts version),
was one where you are up high, in a small confined space, with an exit you can't open.. a book reads
"I made this, then something went terribly wrong, now it's a prison age.. relto won't save you.. etc"
but I don't remember age name... maybe Sonavio or Prad?
Anyway, that age had a little bit of the bonkers graphics, too.
Then, I tried AP and had big issues.
I tried a few things to correct,
- rebooting
- restoring old files from where I had saved them
- doing a fresh reinstall of URU (after which I had some of this happen again in cleft..)
- uninstalling display drivers (nvidia) and going back to older ones.
After display driver change, I didn't get issues in Cleft anymore.
But, AP was still crazy.
At that point (fresher reinstall, new drivers) I put the old version of AP back in,
and that works fine.
So I'm not 100% convinced it's isolated to Ahra Pahts 08F, but it certainly is where I am having the most
difficulty.
Sorry if this post is totally in the wrong place / wrong guild / etc...
but it was related to using User-Ages, so I thought I would give it a shot.
Cheers! Thanks for your creative works, folks, I hope to get to see it soon.
