The city's main navigation system, Prin Pahts (nexus), needs linking pedestals to take the explorers back to the surface. These pedestals will be placed on a large map on the floor of Prin Pahts, in the approximate location to where you will appear in the city. What should these pedestals look like? Choose your favorite from Besharen's excellent sketches below.

Remember people that the pedestal will have to be accessible from all four sides. So number 4 might not be that great for Prin Pahts. We could always use it in another section/age though, since it seems to be winning at the moment.

I think 4 is the best.
5 is intruiging, but i think it would be a bit too much for someone trying to travel quickly.

I like simplicity, so I'll go with 2, 3 or 4. I like 4 it reminds me of the shells.

I didn't vote for it, but 8 would work best for all angles. And with a little designing, it could be really stunning.

I think that 4 matches the age the best, but that maybe the top would have to be flattened so as to be accesible from all sides.

for the sake of realism, though...wouldn't you walk around anyway so the book is facing the right way? I know that you can use a book jsut as well from the side, you can still touch the panel and all, but when you click the book in-game and it shows you the book up close, wouldnt it (realistically) have to rotate the book to the same angle? I think that a sloped pedastle like that works and works well.

about 8. While it does look nice, it doesn't really match the syle of the age, which I percieve as very geometric and planned. 8 looks too natural for me to be a linking book pedastle to ahra.

I can understand that.

I think #4 and #9 interface well with each other, so I'm going for 9 in the map room, and 4 for the city.
