Are Shells grown?

Hello again,

So I was looking around and learning more and more about Ahra Pahts, and the more I learn the more I love this Age. But I found a page on AP's IC history and one thought is bothering me a little. It essentially said that the Shells were extremely advance technology that you could touch and link out of the Age and back. Now AP was thought up back in the Era of the Kings and one would think that such advanced technology would be EVERYWHERE in D'ni. Now my idea would be what if the shells weren't constructed, what if they were alive. What if they were grown on a special Age? That way they would still follow the standard linking rules and I would think it would make it easier when Ahra Pahts eventually expands that you could just "harvest" more shells. Of course if you don't like this idea or it doesn't fit I completely understand. I am just trying to help... :-)

There's nothing wrong with this as a theory we just don't know if you want to do a storyline that implies that then as long as it's implied as conjecture and not a hard dried fact then you can run with it.

It's not a new idea the Tardis in Dr Who has been implied that it was grown as a living entity.

Well I would never claim unilateral knowledge on someone elses Ages... that would be wrong. But I think I will mention the theory in my URU Blog when I do an article on Ahra Pahts. Ironically first I thought of the idea based on linking dynamics, then right after I sent it I was like... yeah it's like the Tardis.
