I think that would be possible, but tricky to do so that your tunnel doesn't intersect anyone else's shell. I think that the rule is that you can't go above the streets or below them.

Technically you could make a fake linking point (like the Bahro caves), or you could try to get two shells along the same road, then your tunnel could go under the road; But you'd have to ask Aloys about it.

Is it okay to make a desert-themed shell in the red district?

Given that the red district is about rocks and sand, that sound like a good theme to me. :)

What will there be surrounding the city? My shell for example is at the edge of the city and I will be able to look over the walls from my two story home ^_^

uhm, simple answer: We don't know.

long answer: Possibly a mountainous landscape, or possibly more expansions to the city. Right now: Nothing.

Yeah Please keep within the guidlines provided on layer 4 of your shell file. If you go above the surrounding wall of the city you run into the problems you just brought up of there currently being nothing beyond the walls, not even the backside of the walls :P (plus the fact that your shell will be visible from most parts of the city, meaning more lag ;))

Oh, I didn't know the walls were that high :)

*officially hates Blender*

Aloys, I looked at those tutorials you sent me links to, but every time I get to steps I can't complete. Look at this one for example. There is no Subdivide Multi in that menu!

And how come I see only black when I render the current frame?

Make sure Num Lock is ON. Hit 0 on the number pad.

That will give you a view of what the camera sees.

To render, F12.

If it's still all black, you need to add a light.

Hey thanks, that worked.
But not in my shell. Actually, I don't see a camera in my shell. Is there one?

You should make a forum for Blender questions :P
