A while back (shortly after seeing the first screenshots of Eder Delin), I started designing my own little Garden Age; but nothing like the existing ones, I wanted mine to be unique and well, restful, not part of a puzzle; just a small place to hang out with friends and joke around.

I drew this really quickly in Paint as a background image:

Using that I built it in Blender, textured it, edited it, added lights, removed Obelisks, added tress, and finally got something half decent.

In-game it looks nice, much better than I had hoped:

My to-do list (as it currently stands):
- Background Music
- Footsteps
- Snow Particles
- Obelisk symbols
- Fix Lighting
- Enhance Texturing (Vertex painting)
- Python coding

Hopefully it will be done for the end of March.

Unfortunately, PyPRP and Blender don't play nice together on Windows Vista. Blender works fine on its own, but when I try to use any of the PyPRP stuff it crashes. Currently, you can thank AdamJohnso for exporting it for me (repeatedly). :P

Wow!! From now on we should all either create snow ages or have you create everything, great work! At first glance, I thought you posted a screenshot of one of the new ages. (I havn't seen them in game yet) I'll be checking back on your Journal often!

Nice age! But, are we even able to add background music yet?

No

But with some überkewl PRP hacking I might be able to get it working *crosses fingers*

Next step is trying to figure out why I have a giant tree and five obelisks in my Age.

Wow, that looks great! (A bit like the stuff outside my window, actually)
Even in the image, it looks very ambient. Music, snow particles, etc. would make it even better, I'm sure.

Out of curiosity, how'd you make those trees?

Yeah, those trees are sweet, Paradox!

I think I got a random, free, tree-gen program that exported to .obj.

IIRC it was Arbaro

Indeed - I also first thought that it was a screen shot from a new cyan age! I am very impressed with this work! Keep it up.

That screenshot indeed looks nice and promising.. I'm curious to see more about it.
