Bimevi Journal

Bimevi Journal

Work has begun on Bimevi! The Age is a small private rest age with an interesting history. More details to come as the concept is finalized and the modeling begins.

Lots going on. Modeling is pretty much finished and most of the work has gone into texturing and seeing where the initial concept requires adjustment. A to-do list (as well as a lovely teaser :P):

1: Texture "religious area"
2: Texture pathway
3: Texture history book and pedestal
4: Generate lightmaps
5: Animate
6: Code history book

Some changes from Monday: The pathway was re-done and looks a lot better (in my opinion). Lightmaps failed, but the lighting looks good enough so I'll be pressing on without it.

To-Do:

1: Code history book
2: Add sun

Can't wait. If it's anything near the level of quality of Fern and Maw, it's going to be worth it.

Still hate you for Maw, BTW.

:P I have some vivid memories of frustration from Maw too. But that aside it was a very nice little Age. I still need to take a look at Fern though; but judging from the screenshots it looks just as nice.

Don't want to rush you... just very curious... when will the book be available through ULM? :)

After the RAD is finished. If you want, you can download it on the RAD page in the wiki.

A word of warning: Bimevi may cause compatibility issues with the Drizzle-converted version of Tahgira. I had both on my system and Tahgira refused to load. But in case Bimevi fails for anyone and they have Tahgira installed, removing it should take care of the problem. It's caused by a sequence prefix error since the Drizzle conversions used certain prefixes which were not reported to the ULM.
