Taygahn - Concept

Postby I.Brattin » Sun Mar 22, 2009 9:09 pm

I was looking just now for some ideas for a concept for my third age I am looking at doing, and I ran across the image below.

What do you all think of this as an Age?

Nice view!! Keep on working!!
Is this scene created by you? I like the realistic looking hills in the background.

I'd love to see it as an Age. Every element just seems to come together in a certain way.

No its an image I found on the internet and thought it would be fun to try and recreate.

Why not change up the elements or style? Instead of just recreating it, make it a starting point for something new. It's a good scene, but why leave it as is? :D

I intend to do just that. I want to recreate the stuff in the picture first. Then I am thinking of trying to add a garden, maybe a hedge maze. I will go beyond that image that is for sure.

You will link in to the center of the Maze and make your way out. The Maze is quite simple right now. I may see if I can make it more challenging.

Outisde of the Ruins. You will exit the Maze and walk straight inside of the ruins.

Looking pretty good so far.

That maze is easy? from my point of view, I might get lost in there :D

Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing more.

Good blockout. Can you post a top ortho when you get a little further?
I feel between you and Aikijitsu - the sadist in me would love to see the maze more complicated but I'm wondering if there will be some sort of clue system in the maze for those of us who get turned around terribly easy.

I have been looking at the Maze. I am looking at adding more to it. What you see above will remain unchanged. Its pretty straightforward, the dead ends are pretty short. But at the end where it connects to the ruins I will add more of the maze there. And then the new section will empty out into the ruins.

On the clues, I am not sure. On one hand having clues to the exit would help someone who gets completely lost. On the other hand finding the exit is half the fun of a maze.
