Gimp brushes

Postby Justintime9 » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:19 am

I recently got a new computer, and couldn't find my photoshop install disk. I decided to move to Gimp, and it's soooo confuzing and annoying! I was trying to make stained glass for my age today using this tutorial: http://grey-skies.net/art/stained-glass-window-tutorial , and I couldn't figure out how to make gimp brush like the brushes I got in photoshop. When I create a brush, it just comes out exactly like the file was (can't change the color to white or anything, just stays the solid black I saved it as.) does anyone who's familiar with gimp know how to get a brush right?

Save your brush as grayscale without an Alpha channel and you should then be able to apply the foreground color to it like any other brush.
