I have decided that I guess I will attempt to do the music by myself. Is there a program out there that is aether free or has a trial so I may test it?

Hello,
I have something in the works, but it'll take me a while to finish..
Ardour is great for recording if you're using Linux or MacOS.
http://ardour.orgREAPER for Windows/MAC is a recording/sequencing tool with 30 days trial period.
http://www.reaper.fmRenoise is a wonderful tracker sequencer with a very usable demo.
