I recently revisited (well, lurked around) the Petrified Sea Gardens in Saratoga, NY (unfortunately they're closed indefinitely), and I thought that the fossilized stromatolite beds would make interesting terrain for an Age. First three pics are from there, the rest (well, all, actually) swiped from Google images.

Maybe something texturists could do is find a google image, find where it was taken, and then get in touch with a fellow writer who can then take a copyright-free picture.
