Strange PyPrp Errors thread

Good thing I sent Aloys my shell, even if its in a bad state, at least its compilable.

An old problem has come back and while I fixed that problem (objects targeting the wrong images) a new one has come up that is very cryptic.

Code: Select all

[Visual Object 119CrystalSup]
 [LogicHelper]
   No actions in list
None
   Exporting modifiers
   No modifiers

 [Draw Interface 119CrystalSup]

I think I've seen this one before.

Do any of your objects have multiple materials? [Look on the Editing pane, under the Link and Materials tab.]

If so, check if any materials are empty and then delete them.
Can we rebuild it? Yes, we can - here's how.

I just looked, and there are no missing/empty materials, I had to make sure of that to eliminate the last bug, and so far its only on this mesh.

Problem now is that this mesh is integral part of the Shell, so deleting it and starting over isn't an option.

How many materials does the 119CrystalSup object have?

And are all of its faces assigned to a material? To check this, enter edit mode and make sure no faces are selected. Then, in the Link and Materials tab, start with the first material and click the "Select" button under the material index display. This will select all the faces associated with material 1. Go on to the next material, click Select again; repeat until you've done this with all materials for this object. Then check if any faces are not selected.

It has only one material, linked to object and mesh all with the same name, as I do with every object.

I'm pretty sure that all faces have a texture, i'll check up on that when I get home from work in several hours

Better double-check that... just to be sure

Thanks Robert and Trylon its helped me track this one down, the trick was this pane that you spoke about.

I did what you said, switch to edit mode, flag select faces, deselect all with the "A" key in the 3D window and clicked the select button just below and to the left of the delete button (circled in red) and saw very vertices linked with the material, to fix this I selected all and clicked assign but that didn't work
Still 1 material, 1 texture, 1 set of layers, how could this be
So I deleted everything EXCEPT the mesh (that would be disastrous) including the material in the "Link and Materials" pane (here circled in red) then re applied a material, same material to both Object and Mesh (appears in Blender as OB and ME), unwrapped all faces, and loaded the image back in.

Man! What a job that was, thanks again, that is a toughy to find and squash.

Ps The bug where it says unsubscriptable mentioned before, can also be a result of this, came up twice before I knew what was causing it.
