Adding kickable objects work differently?

Postby Jamey » Wed Nov 26, 2008 8:34 am

Hey all,

Did anything change with adding kickable objects into ages since the new Blender version 2.48? Because they aren't working for me. I tried Applying scale and rotation to the objects, they are dynamic actors, with bounds, and with rc and el settings applied. But when I export my age, they don't show up. I try deleting the sav file, and they still don't show up.

So yeah, I'm stuck. Any ideas for what might be wrong?

Thanks!

Maybe your settings for el and rc are too high. I had this with a ball, the ball fell on the floor and bounched up so fast I could not follow it and it disappeared into .....

Jamey ...make sure the kickable isnt slightly inside the ground plane ... if it is, it will "drop" through the ground ...
when it comes to Age creation ... "DOH" seems to be my middle name...

Ok, I found the kickable under my age, so it IS showing up, but it's falling through the floor of the room I'm trying to put it in, however in Blender, I am indeed putting the kickable above the ground (not on the ground).

Any ideas what might be wrong now?

look at where the "Center" of the object is. Even if the visable part is above the ground, if the center is way off, it could fall through. Use "Cntrl-A" to apply scaling and rotation data, and also click on Object>Transform>Center New
