importing Cyan Ages into Blender?

Postby bnewton81 » Mon Mar 21, 2011 8:23 pm

I ask tons of questions in here. Ppl are always very helpful too, but i think that if I could see the inns and outs of a Cyan age in Blender then i would understand things better. I mean i've played a lot of games in my day, but none have ever been able to so totally immerse me in the scene like Cyan's Myst series. So, why not go to the source, right? Any help is appreciated.

Here's an article on how to do that on the Gow wiki:

You'll need an earlier version of Blender (2.45) and python to make it work, but it does work quite well. Keep in mind that what you'll see is all the visible rendered objects, and non-rendered things like colliders and sensors. The lights you see are Plasma Run Time lights, but you will not see any extra lights (Max Lights) as those do not get exported with the Age.
