Well don't get me wrong. I will always love Blender and promote it where ever I can over the mainstream alternative, but between the no player problem and the jumpy interface in 2.49; I was getting a bit irritated. 3dsmax seems so ridiculously convoluted and unnecessarily hard to learn. Is it really necessary to make each function its own modifier? << Exaggeration I am going to continue to learn 3ds as it is the industry standard, but will probably continue to use blender more. I was using blender to do some things last night and it was wonderful. I can instantly turn my ideas into actual scenes. Then I go to max and F***!
People always assume you are not serious about 3d design if you tell them you use blender. That's the case in my experience anyway. I just hope to one day be able to tell them, "Oh yeah I can use 3ds, cinema 4d, and the rest, but blender is better and faster."
Thanks again for the help tach.
